Peep Gucci's New "Soul Scene" Pre-Fall 2017 Campaign Vid
Chances are (if you have a working phone and a pair of eyes), you’ve caught a glimpse of Gucci’s new pre-fall 2017 campaign “Soul Scene” on social media. The beautifully-shot images and video were conceived by photographer Glen Luchford and Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele, who, shall we say, has been killing it since being crowned Gucci King in 2015.
The ad campaign features an all-black cast moving, grooving, and rocking n’ rolling, decked out in the most covetable Gucci looks. The 60s and 70s soul-inspired ad campaign is serving us vintage Gucci prom dance party vibes, making us equally jealous of the models’ moves as we are of their clothes. We’ve found the emphatically good energy to be contagious, making it impossible to not simultaneously watch the video and boogie in our seats. Simply put: if this video doesn’t get you in your Friday shmood, then nothing will. Like that video of John Travolta introducing Idina Menzel as “Adele Dazeem” at the Oscars, you’ll be hard-pressed to watch the campaign video only once. Peep the images in the gallery above, and the high spirited video below.
