Premiere: BAYNK's New Video for "Come Home" is a Pastel Dream
BAYNK is bringing us to Paris and back in his new music video for “Come Home (ft. Shallou)”. Starring 19-year-old Prague-based illustrator/dancer Mr. Kriss (Kristian Mensa), and produced/directed by Czech Vibes, the video is filled with vibrant and pastel color, all backed by BAYNK’s signature smooth electronic-pop sound. The scenes of Paris take you to a nostalgic place, while the sound is fresh and other-worldly.
The collaboration with Chicago-based artist Shallou is a taste of New Zealander BAYNK’s forthcoming debut EP, which will surely guarantee his place as an artist on the rise. “Come Home” culminates BAYNK’s effortlessly smooth sound, with hints of melancholy and hope, to explore the ideas of love and life.
Noisey describes BAYNK’s break out into the music scene as, “the New Zealand kid puts a song up on Soundcloud in early 2015 while traveling around Europe. He loses his laptop, goes surfing for a week and returns to find the track going bonkers. Next, he’s on the Laneway Festival lineup and getting emails from music industry people wanting to talk.”
Emotional and transcendent, “Come Home” transports us to a place where dance, soul, and art intersect. Watch the brand-new vid below and make sure to keep a look out for BAYNK’s latest EP, dropping soon.
