Premiere: Kelsey Bulkin is Finding Her Way Home With "Andromeda"
Kelsey Bulkin knows the burden (and gift) of change more intimately than most; after her longtime work as part of the Made In Heights duo came to an abrupt end in 2015 with the release of their last album, Bulkin has since been navigating the world solo—as an artist, that is. Personally, she’s had a child, found her way through the grief of parting ways with Made In Heights, and is now resurfacing—with “Andromeda”.
“After the abrupt end of Made In Heights I faced a frontier of grief,” Bulkin says. “‘Andromeda’ is about sifting through emotional debris, abandoning worlds I built, and finding my way home. Writing this song cemented the idea of producing a solo project, a dream I’ve had for a long time.”
Bulkin’s passion is evident in “Andromeda”; and thoughtful, ultra smooth lyrics are carried by a snappy beat that catches on almost instantly. If it wasn’t obvious, this is one fiery debut for this newly solo star. Listen to “Andromeda” below, exclusively on MILK.XYZ.
