"Loco" comes off of the upcoming Nice Life playlist titled 'WINTER ’18', out December 8.

Premiere: Listen to "Loco" by Yung Jake

Yung Jake is making moves, and this time, it’s in collaboration with Echo Park mainstay and artist community Nice Life. Coming off of Nice Life’s forthcoming playlist WINTER ’18, out December 8, “Loco”, produced by frequent collaborator TeeJay, is Jake’s homage to a woman who makes him—you guessed it—crazy. Ricky Reed, founder of Nice Life (which has dubbed its famed studio Elysian Park), knew it was a match made in heaven from day one. We couldn’t agree more.

“I hit up Yung Jake to come by Elysian after I heard his song ‘Look’,” he says. “I was floored to find out he majored in painting at CalArts. When he showed me the visual works he would be debuting at an upcoming gallery show and first few of his now famous Emoji portraits I knew we had to collaborate. That led us to ‘Loco’.”

An artist of many mediums, Jake is known for his skills in directing, producing, rapping (obviously), painting, and his dope AF emoji project, wherein he creates portraits of celebrities using the paint-with-emojis site emoji.ink. Teaming up with Nice Life for WINTER ’18, Jake is in good company; next up on a roster of releases is Pussy Riot’s new track, set to drop at the beginning of November. Nice Life also had a hand in developing rising star Lizzo and Pussy Riot’s most recent EP xxx.

While you wait for the full playlist to be released, revel in the upbeat trap gem that is “Loco” below, premiering today exclusively on MILK.XYZ.
