Premiere: Peep The New LOS CITY Lookbook From Lanz Pierce
Last month, we brought Lanz Pierce to the forefront of MILK.XYZ to talk her new Los City record, and now, she’s back, with a stunning lookbook of the same moniker. Premiering exclusively on MILK.XYZ, LOS CITY is every streetwear-loving kid’s dream; with a focus on “accessibility meets access,” Pierce has created hoodies and tees that are set to be season staples.
“LOS CITY is a ready-to-wear line, incorporating the energy and attitude of Los Angeles and New York City,” Pierce says. “What turns me on is the juxtaposition of opposites. I’m drawn to the industrial grit meets luxury. Accessibility meets access. A hoodie is part of my style vocabulary. As a storyteller, fashion is an extension of my narrative. It’s music and lifestyle. I admire guys like Heron Preston and Virgil Abloh, that’s aspirational. What I wear and make isn’t just clothing, it’s another way to saying something to the world.”
The LOS CITY lookbook isn’t just confined to photos; there’s also one dope ass video that marks Pierce’s venture into directing, too (with a soundtrack to the tune of the classic Duke Ellington and John Coltrane sample of “In a Sentimental Mood”, produced by Alex Coco and Ed Graves, it’s another one that can’t be missed).
