Premiere: "The World is Dreaming Through Us" 323 F/W '17 Lookbook
If you’ve already got your feminist anthem down for summer 2K17, consider adding a uniform to accompany the mix. Our pick? 323, the LA-based (more specifically, dreamy-hillside-in-Echo-Park-based) clothing line that has made a name for itself by becoming synonymous with female empowerment and unity—two things we’ll never not support.
Behind the dreamy clothing and badass company mantra is Jillian Maddocks, creator and designer of 323. And behind their new, certifiably dope video for Fall/Winter ’17? Maddocks, producer Victoria Fayad, writer Dani Fine (who also penned the poem you’ll hear in the vid), and writer, director, and editor Austin Kearns, who, together with a team of talented folks, brought their David-Lynch-meets-Sofia-Coppola vision to life. The result? A dreamy, ethereal film that has us longing for more.
“‘The World Is Dreaming Through Us’ is a short feminist look book video for 323’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection,” Maddocks says. “It’s a series of images, movements, visions, and shared moments related to the themes of unity and oneness, a woman’s divine connection to the earth and to one another, and honoring, loving, and valuing all physical bodies.”
Maddocks’ vision for her collection—one of unity, empowerment, and love—has us stoked for what’s ahead for 323. Join the club: check the full visual lookbook vid above.
