Premiere: Watch Lolo Zouai's New 'High Highs to Low Lows' Vid

Lolo Zouai has such a clear creative vision for herself that she leaves nothing to chance—videos included. “High Highs to Low Lows” is no exception, and as such, the singer co-directed the video (alongside friend Hanna Hotchkiss) and edited the entire thing herself. The result? A DIY vid with vibes that exist somewhere in between the world of VHS home videos and rising NYC hip hop icons. Say no more.

“Hanna and I shot the video one night by our apartment in Brooklyn,” she says. “We just wanted to show what our world looks like…we actually shot this on the same VHS camera we used to shoot my last video. I was going through a lot of stressful shit with my music situation and this song was a response to all that. We don’t need much to be happy.. these are the highs within the lows.”

Zouai’s simple response to a complex industry is just what the doctor ordered—clarity in the face of chaos. We’re here for it. Watch the new video above and stay tuned for more coming from Zouai oh so soon.
