Premiere: Watch The First-Ever Music Video From Tigers in the Sky

Tigers in the Sky released their single “Oceans” about two years ago, but it’s only just now coming to life in the visual landscape. Clearly, bandmates Casey Liu and Lionel DeGuzman prefer not to rush things, and who can blame them—with “Oceans”, they’re sitting on a track that’s just as poignant as it is personal. Written right before Liu moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles, the song holds sentimental worth beyond its sonic value. And when Adam Taylor offered to produce the track, they knew the timing was just right.

“What’s special to me about this song and a big reason why I wanted a visual to accompany it is because Adam composes mostly for cinema but had offered to work with us on our second EP, ‘Lagoons’ which this track is featured on,” Liu says. “I feel like Adam’s expertise in film really affected the production of this song and left it feeling very cinematic. I really wanted people to experience the song the way I see it in my head when it plays.”

“Oceans” was shot on Super 8 film by videographer Madelynn de la Rosa, so the visuals perfectly mirror the nostalgia that the song conveys. Watch the brand-new vid above, and stay tuned for more from this melodic duo.
