Safa Gaw's New Single "Limbo" is Inspired by His Belizean Roots
Always in the pursuit of new sounds, Belize and Bronx-raised artist Safa Gaw just dropped “Limbo”, which showcases his Belizean roots. Consisting of one lead sound and drum percussions mixed with a hip hop 808, the new tune has been electrifying the crowd in Belize since the local DJs sneak peaked the bop for the promotion.
Safa Gaw emphasizes the exceptionality of music-making of this new single. “I wanted to make a song that was going to move people. I made the beat in about 20 minutes and recorded the vocals in about 1-2 hours, the vocals only took that long to record because I didn’t write it, I free-styled it by punching in and out.”
Currently working on new music and promoting in Belize, he emphasizes that his new project will represents his color as an artist more than ever. “My next EP will be consisted of eight songs all produced, engineered, written, mixed, and mastered by myself. As an independent artist, I get to pick and chose when I want to drop it. I would like to focus on my new single ‘Limbo’ for the time being until the big project drops.”
