So Fetch! Juicy Couture Tracksuits Have A Museum Revival

Remember the mid-2000s? Kim Kardashian was still just Paris Hilton’s friend/assistant, everyone wanted to get a Sidekick, and Facebook was still run in a Harvard dorm room. Things were so simple.

Amy Poehler gets it.
Amy Poehler gets it.

In celebration of the uncomplicated days of trying to make it through middle school without getting a noogie, a new exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum called Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear is paying homage to the cool girl garb of the time: the Juicy Couture tracksuit. While the tracksuit is featured, the exhibit is more about showing how underwear can reflect larger cultural phenomenons. The show description says it will “tell the story of underwear design from the 18th century to the present day, considering the practical and personal, sensory and fashionable and exploring underwear’s roles of protecting and enhancing the body.”

The proverbial queen of the mid-2000s.

Obviously, Juicy says a whole lot about our mid-2000s culture.

The exhibit doesn’t start until April, so that’s plenty of time to find a vintage tracksuit to rock on your trip to London. Or, if you’re not up to the trek you can just flip through your old pictures; a Juicy Couture tracksuit is bound to show up.
