Go BTS of Last Night's Billboard Music Awards
The highlight reel from last night’s Billboard Music Awards includes a star-studded (and history-making) roster of celebs. And while it’s hard (nay, impossible) for any red carpet to compete with the slayage that was the Met Gala 2K17, that’s not what we’re here for: instead, we’re diving BTS for a look at all the glam ‘grams that came from inside last night’s BMA’s.
You’ve seen your fair share of style roundups, dress malfunction GIFs (S/O to Bella Hadid), and TMZ blooper reels, but have you really experienced the BMA’s until you’ve see the ‘grams? I think not.
Above: effervescent hostess for the night, High School Musical alum, and reigning Coachella queen Vanessa Hudgens takes a fan girl moment to gush over Celine Dion (The stars! They’re just like us!). And while we truly have no idea what Hudgens does with her time nowadays (aside from touring the festival circuit), Dion’s rendition of “My Heart Will Go On” at this year’s BMA’s was the cherry on top of a night we won’t soon forget. Thanks for the mems, VH.
Drake may have broken the record for most awards won EVER—move aside, Adele—but he still managed to throw shade on stage by forgetting to compliment his date for the night (sorry Nicki). The “Anaconda” queen (and student loan fairy godmother) was quick to point out the mishap (look out for the impending memes, of which there will be many), but it seems from the look of this ‘gram that all is now well (and Papi better hope so). Also, he brought his dad to the BMA’s, which is extra cute and kinda makes us forget all the previously mentioned wrongdoing.
We love a good father-daughter celeb moment, and if it’s coming from Billboard Magazine‘s cover star slash newly reinvented ex-emo, ex-Disney starlet, even better. This is Miley’s umpteenth do-over but we’re hoping this one sticks. She’s happy AF with bae, and, it seems, even happier post-BMA performance with her old man. Cheers to you, Billy!
Ludacris truly had the night that BMA dreams are made of. After Drake put their beef to bed with a salute onstage, Luda (or shall we say, LUDA!) got faded as fuck partying the night away with none other than Kid Rock. At this point, it’s safe to say that we’ll just have whatever the hell he’s having (here’s betting it’s Nutri-Grain).
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, DJ Khaled and his new bestie Justin Bieber have been stuck in your head singing “I’m The One” since late last month (and let’s not forget Chance the Rapper, whose cameo in the track is the delectable cherry on top of what we’re gonna go ahead and crown the song of Summer 2K17). Everyone’s favorite daddy (literally, and I quote: “IM A FATHER NOW!”) was on cloud nine last night, and for good reason. It’s lit!
