A Hot Minute with DJ Duo The Misshapes
Design darling Jeremy Scott always has a star studded front row, from pop stars to your fave TV faces, and this season was no exception. We ran into The Misshapes, Leigh Lezark and Geordon Nicol, patiently waiting for the show to start, and got the lowdown on their fashion week plans and current musical faves.
How’s your fashion week so far?
It’s been great. We were actually in LA for the first few days and are just getting into things. We went to Opening Ceremony last night which was incredible.
They always put on such a great show. How are you adjusting to the chilly NYC weather after being in California?
We wish we were still there! It was so warm and sunny—just amazing. You really can’t beat it.
What do you love about Jeremy Scott’s designs?
He’s just so imaginative and ahead of the game. It’s really exciting to see every season.
What else do you guys have on your schedule for the week? Are you DJing at all?
Yes! We are DJing at Jeremy’s after party tonight which is always so much fun. We did the music for Rachel Zoe as well.
Are there any designers on your wish list that you’d love to do music for?
We’ve done music for so many amazing people and friends, we’ve been really lucky. But it could be really cool to do music for one of the bigger shows at the end of the week—Calvin or Marc Jacobs.
Yeah that would be awesome. What’s one song you guys can play to get people on the dancefloor?
Definitely the new Rihanna and Beyonce tracks, “Work” and “Formation.” Those are definitely doing it right now.
