The Time Is Now: Get Inspired to Vote & Volunteer With Swing Left
“Don’t just vote this year—volunteer!” In keeping with our push to get the fam to the polls this November, Swing Left has created a star-studded call to action video that features dozens of our favorite faces—from Vogue’s very own Anna Wintour, to progressive royalty Elizabeth Warren, Kerry Washington, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jack Antonoff, and 2016 presidential candidate Hilary Clinton. The gang’s all here, and they’re all embodying the urgency permeating our current political climate. But the crew doesn’t stop with voting—they’re taking this one step further, and calling upon our community to get out there and volunteer. Actions speak louder than words, and a grassroots movement of people demanding change is only as strong as the individuals who make up the collective whole.
Shot at Milk LA, “The Last Call For The Last Weekend” is a video for The Last Weekend, Swing Left’s coalition campaign to get people registered to volunteer for the last weekend prior to the midterms. Backed by over 60 other progressive organizations, The Last Weekend is hoping to amass 1 million volunteer hours by folks all across the country before November 6. That’s a lot of hours, and it will only happen if everyone joins in, so it’s all hands on deck this November. If you’ve caught the bug, you’re not alone—as of now Swing Left is already halfway to their goal of 1 million hours. Sign up here to get to work.
