About Last Night: Hunter Barnes' 'Tickets'

ICYMI: The carnival came to town last night at Milk Gallery’s opening reception and book launch for Hunter Barnes‘ newest exhibit, ‘Tickets’.

An exploration into a traveling sideshow, Barnes’ primarily black and white film photos were a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the traveling performers that make up the show.  Conjuring a deeply ominous and brooding tone throughout the gallery, ‘Tickets’ is your front-row seat into Barnes’ experiences traveling and living with this unique, nomadic community.

Be sure to check out some shots from the party last night — with over 850 guests in attendance, it’s safe to say that things got lit. And if you’re in NYC, come wander into Barnes’ wistful world of wonder for yourself. ‘Tickets’ officially opens to the public today, Nov. 3rd, and will be open and on display until Dec. 3rd. I can assure you — it’s one show that you won’t want to miss.

Signed copies of TICKETS are available in the Milk Store.

Stay tuned to Milk for more gallery openings.
