The next trendsetter to break into the world of fashion. Yes, really.

Tyga to Release a Collection with Fashion Party Boy And Givenchy Fave

Fuccbois around the world unite! One of your leaders is making another foray into the fashion world, and he has some trusted fashion influencers backing him up this time. Kylie Jenner’s boytoy Tyga will release a capsule collection with the Argentinian born former DJ, party planner, and PR guru Marcelo Burlon. Burlon has been designing clothes since 2012—that have caught the attention of fashion bigwigs like Riccardo Tisci. His capsule collection with Tyga will be released exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Marcelo Burlon’s Spring/Summer ’16 menswear collection kind of screams Tyga, don’t you think?

The limited edition collection will comprise t-shirts, hoodies, and shorts—and while this isn’t exactly a groundbreaking selection, we’re happy Tyga isn’t using this opportunity to tackle the peplum. Eric Jennings, vice president and and men’s fashion director of Saks, told WWD that there will only be 100 pieces of each style. In addition, Tyga and Burlon created a special phone that will be given out with the first 50 purchases of the collection at the Saks flagship store.

Tyga told WWD that he has been a fan of Burlon’s designs for years, and is extremely excited to collaborate with the iconic department store—where he’s been doing his Christmas shopping for quite some time. He also told WWD of his plans to avoid social media promotion of the brand, in order to “keep it organic and not force it on people.” The collaboration, he added, will serve as a “nice warm-up for introducing me as a designer.” Which reminded us: what about Last Kings Co, his lifestyle brand, and the accompanying flagship store? Oh stars, they’re just like us!

In return, Burlon expressed his excitement to collaborate with the rapper, saying that he’s been a fan since Tyga’s first album and that they were able to bond over their similar aesthetics. “It’s a very easy and friendly collaboration,” he said. He’s also hoping for more chances to collaborate with him in the future—which could only help Tyga in the fashion cred department.

The collection will officially launch next Thursday, May 12th, and will be sold exclusively online and at the Saks flagship store on Fifth Avenue. Tyga and Burlon will promote the line with an appearance at the store next month—so now you know where your next Kylie sighting will be.
