Watch Kate Moss Dance In The Dark In New Massive Attack Vid
Our favorite ’90s supermodels have been killing the music video game. Last week, Naomi Campbell sobbed and slayed in ANOHNI’s music video about drone violence. And today, Naomi’s partner in crime, the legend Kate Moss, stars in Massive Attack’s (feat. Azekel) new music video, “Ritual Spirit.”
The video, directed by Medium and Robert Del Naja (aka 3D from Massive Attack) starts off in complete darkness, with a single orb swinging around. The orb gets brighter, and suddenly, one sees a vague figure. Is it a bird? A plane? No, it’s Kate Moss, swinging around a lightbulb.
Clad in a tan American Apparel-esque body suit, Moss begins to glow, and the orb becomes a flashing rainbow. She looks like some sort of literal spirit, or a pokevolving teletubby. Either way, I’m on board. It’s a stunning visual accompaniment to the song, one that was actually left completely raw and unretouched. Probably because you don’t need to retouch the perfection that is Queen Kate. As she said in a press release, “I have always been a huge fan of Massive Attack and 3D has been a friend for many years. When he asked me to collaborate with him I didn’t have to think twice. I always thought their visuals were amazing and I was proud to be in this video.”
The song is dope, and the video is too. Check out the goodness above.
