Weekend Recap: Gabbriette Bechtel Presents The Junk Food Capsule Collection
Last week, model and photographer Gabbriette Bechtel launched her capsule collection in collaboration with Junk Food Clothing with a party and photo show hosted at Tees + Jeans in Los Angeles. In an interview with the L.A. Times, Bechtel said the nine-piece collection, which consists of bodysuits, print tops (some of Bechtel’s photography is used as graphics on T-shirts), and accessories bearing a cheetah print, was inspired by vintage pieces pulled from her own closet as well as her tattoos—a few of her tats are even embroidered as overlays on some of the pieces. The launch party included performances by Lucas Bin, Michael Rosales and Frank(ie).
“It’s not a party without family,” Bechtel said of all who came out to celebrate the launch. “Surreal to have seen the amount of support that showed up this night … thankful for those involved in this collaboration and for the love and opportunity keeping the kids creativity alive.”
