Introducing It’s Sunday: a band comprised of couple Dawnie Perry (hailing from Malibu) and Lucas Lecacheur (who grew up on Il de Ré, a small surf island west of France.) Based in Paris, they started making music in 2016. Having never touched a drum set prior, Perry taught herself how to play so that she could stand-in for Lecacheur’s other project Lemon Swell, and they’ve never looked back. They’ve now played in French festivals and Parisian venues like Espace B, Supersonic, Point Éphémerè and Le Trianon, where they most notably opened for The Jesus and Mary Chain. This June, the duo is releasing their noisy pop album Tissue Issues on French labels Howlin’ Banana and Crybaby records. As the trees become greener and the smell of fresh spring flowers fill the air, the band made a playlist “to crank up high on those sunnier days, even rainy days but especially Sundays” because “lust, falling in love, losing yourself, feeling invincible, constant change and understanding, these songs say it all when it comes to It’s Sunday.”
