Your Weekend Playlist, Courtesy of Linden Jay
Yesterday, we brought you a little Q&A with music maestro Linden Jay, and today we’re bringing you our friday playlist, curated by the UK-based producer, drummer, sound engineer, and musical director himself. Once again, we are no music writers, but this is a pretty smooth playlist if we do say so ourselves—mellow yet zestful, if we had to put it into words. And yet we don’t. So we’ll stop.
You’re better off having a listen for yourself. But before you do, get inspired by Jay’s creative process, which he delineates for us below.
“The first ten to 15 minutes of making a song is like throwing paint at a brick wall. I just make a huge mess of ideas as quickly as possible and then it’s survival of the fittest as I throw ideas away and I’m left with the best parts… I’m always striving to find that next level part for the song that really catches your attention—I keep recycling my ideas until I finally find it.” Sounds like a solid plan to us.
