Your Weekend Playlist, Courtesy of Marteen
Need a little something to spice up your weekend? Well, look no further — Marteen’s got a little weekend playlist to share with you all that is sure to have your earbuds on fire.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Marteen brings a refreshing West Coast perspective to the table in regards to pop music. Bursting onto the scene after posting covers on his Instagram since the age of 12, Marteen has now gone on to open for some of our favorite acts like Kehlani, Dua Lipa, and Bryson Tiller.
Preferring to croon over pop/R&B inflected tracks like his spicy 2017 hit, Sriracha, Marteen’s smooth vocals round out punchy beats while giving us a taste of his personal swagger. It’s safe to say that Marteen’s taken the time to truly shape his sound.
Check out Marteen’s weekend playlist, chock full of his current faves. Featuring major 2000s throwbacks with artists like Ne-Yo and T-Pain, along with fellow Bay Area artist, G-Eazy, get a peek into some of Marteen’s sources of musical inspiration. And if you like what you hear, be sure to check out his newest EP, “NOTHANKYOU”.
P.S. Also, don’t forget to check out the gallery of film photos from a disposable camera that we gave to Marteen to document a day in his life.
Stay tuned to Milk for more incredible weekend playlists from our favorite artists.
