NYC-based collective MICHELLE is on a roll: upon dropping their debut album HEATWAVE in September 2018, the group has gone on to perform at venues like Baby’s All Right and Soho House, and they’re set to open for Hippo Campus at Gov Ball on May 30. The 7-person band—consisting of singers Isa Reyes, Layla Ku, Jamee Lockhard, Emma Lee, and Sofia D’Angelo as well as producers Charlie Kilgore and Julian Kaufman—describe their sound as “R&B/indie pop with a vintage feel.” With their “melting pot of different musical influences and backgrounds,” the members “constantly surprise each other” with their music taste. We have a feeling that this collective is only getting started.

Check out their curated weekend playlist below, featuring songs that they say “have influenced us individually as musicians, as a collective, and that we listen to while we’re making music or just hanging out.”
