Byron Spencer’s path into photography was an organic one. Rather than setting out with any goal in mind, he picked up a camera and began documenting the styles and tribulations of his coterie and decked out friends . This then led to his own fashion column for The Sun Herald and Grazia magazine. He then transitioned into fashion photography, delivering on the pulse hits of colour and humour. His work has a spark of playfulness that is often contrasted with undertones of emotive storytelling.Byron’s work includes clients such as ASOS, Zara, Topshop and Nikon. And campaigns for fashion labels such as Pierre Cardin, General Pants, RMK, Manning Cartell, Ksubi, Emma Mulholland, New Era, Stance Socks, KMS, Shakuhachi and Mink Pink.
His imagery has also been featured in publications like Vogue Italia, V Magazine Dazed and Confused, Nylon, Oyster, Milk Made, Yen, Grazia and Vogue Australia and also a recent solo exhibition.
