Lolo Zouai Is About to Rock The Boat
Introducing #MilkLoves: the definitive Milk roster of ones to watch in 2018. Follow along as we reveal our top 10 favorites to slay this year in activism, artistry, and more.
A week ago, we premiered Lolo Zouai’s new “High Highs to Low Lows” video, and now we’re back: to introduce her as a member of the 2018 #MilkLoves roster. Lolo Zouai is “Most Likely to Make a Name For Herself”, and for good reason; at the tender age of 22, the rapper has already aligned herself with the likes of KidSuper (living above his Williamsburg store until she just recently found her own Brooklyn digs), and made waves with singles like “IDR” and “High Highs to Low Lows”, the latter of which cleared 1 million streams on Spotify. No small feat.
In 2018, it’s all about the new music. And if we play our cards right, here’s hoping we’ll get some live shows too (Zouai says her birthplace, Paris, is top of the list). For now, cop a listen to “High Highs to Low Lows” (if you haven’t heard it by now, you’ll want to fix that ASAP) and stay tuned for more from this rising star. God knows she’s just getting started. Oh, and the New Year? According to her 2018 mad libs, “It’s going to be life-changing, because I said so.” You heard it here first folks.
