Premiere: Michel Comte Celebrates 20 Years Of Milk
Milk has now been around for two whole decades. That’s twenty years of revolutionary shoots, music videos, runway shows, surprise album drops, crazy parties, and coffee from the Smile. We’re proud to have reached this milestone, and proud to have collaborated with so many incredible talents along the way.
Since the beginning, the legendary photographer Michel Comte has been a part of our family. The stories of his life and career could fill up several books; the cosmopolitan childhood with a family of adventurous pilots, the adolescence during the swinging sixties in London, the environmental activism, the work with practically every notable artist and supermodel. Comte has also gained success as a film director, releasing The Girl From Nagasaki to great acclaim last year.
In this exclusive video, Comte details his rich and varied experiences: his life, his artistry, and his years working with us here at Milk. The collaboration is further detailed in an exhibition at the Milk gallery, coinciding with a limited edition book of Comte’s greatest works. We’re honored to have him.
